I'll admit that when Sasha. the main character flew off to meet a fiancé who had left a year ago to teach English to students in Cambodia, I'd thought it was going to be a reunion/romance vacation story. Wrong. Prepare yourself. This book takes you on a journey that winds through the desolate country of Cambodia, complete with a storm of cataclysmic proportions, floods, dark of night, a curse, an evil monster/king set upon...well, lets just say, I'm still sitting on the edge of my seat!
